Ava's Playset

Back in June, Scott's boss gave us his kids' old giant costco playset. The catch? Disassemble it and reassemble at the house. We caught a break when our super cool neighbors happened to have a moving truck available and lent their help and vehicle to bring the playset home.

The bad news: It was nine years old and most of the wood was rotted. The metal part was still amazing but the wood was just kindling. Enter Supper Daddy Scott!

Scott not only got this sucker up from sticks to perfect, but has been methodically replacing every piece of wood, pressure washing and reinstalling every piece of plastic and tarp and generally building a love letter in wood to his daughter.

Ava loves this sucker and is out on it every single day for at least an hour. She loves to play up in the "treehouse" and her favorite thing is "underdog" on the baby swing.

This is about the coolest thing ever to have when you are a kid and Scott is so awesome for putting this together.

Note: This sucker is a work in progress so the pictures will show several of the phases. It now has a new "hat" (a tarp that is over the treehouse) and some new bracing. YAY Scott

Ava's friend Gabby on the "Super glider" We call it Teeter totter
Ava's friend Mimi going up the rock wall. Note: We have the "rocks" for the rock wall, but Scott rebuilt this whole thing so we haven't installed yet
 Everyone rocking it
Coloring in the "Treehouse" with another little friend. Note: This now has a tarp over it so we can play in the rain

Better pictures later. So much fun!

It's amazing! I feel bad for ever doubting the playset could be resurrected. Scott did an INCREDIBLE job with it. The kids love it. (Sara) (p.s. Google comments still isn't working but if you can see this, "anonymous" works!)
